Last Words

This song describes a Self that originated from a point in this continuum of reality that branched into another continuum of reality, wherein the Self in that reality leaves the addict and moves on to a new life. In this continuum however, having only the moment and nowhere else to go, the host Self could not leave and the history differs.

Lyrics:

You're the reason I've stayed so long

Now I'm thinking it's time to be gone

You want me; you need me; but you don't love me like I need

And its time this soul was freed

There is no reason that could encourage me to stay

All I see ahead is misery

I've waited too long for the day that you could say

You could truly give your heart to me

With no response, I head out on my way

You let it end there with no more to say

I had love; I lost love; an illusion slipping thru my hands

And it's more than I could stand

I'd chase this dream forever if I knew that it could bring

All the things I was looking for in you

Such a thing of beauty would surely make me sing

Cause I'd know you truly loved me too

With no regrets I head into the night

We both know the other is wrong and we're right

It's over; it's done now; and we've each taken our own way

And there's nothing left to say

I enter to a world so strange and new to me

The likes of which I know I've never seen

What's past is gone forever and there's so much more to be

I'm no longer trapped behind the screen
